Having
grown up in a home of bakers, cake decorators and great cooks,
it was a natural progression for Michelle to attend
Silwood Kitchens Cordon Bleu School of Cookery in Cape Town,
South Africa. She was awarded the internationally accepted
Silwood Grande
Diplome
after 3 years of training in some of
South Africa’s top eateries and guest houses.
Michelle’s training and experience has seen her work in a broad
spectrum of the food industry including Product Development for
major food retailers, food styling for magazines, recipe books
and packaging, and catering for celebrities and international
dignitaries.
Michelle formally studied Cake Decorating as part of her Cordon
Bleu training and it is this part of the food industry that is
close to heart and that she is most passionate about. She has
taken this a step further and has gained City & Guilds
qualifications in
Sugarcraft, Design and
Sugarflowers. She is
also a member of the British
Sugarcraft Guild and has now set up her own business in
Warfield, Berkshire, making cakes for special events and
celebrations.
Michelle has a real passion for baking and cake decorating and
this is evident in her creative flair to produce works of art
that not only look amazing, but taste delicious too. |
